A team of local lawyers is looking to go to court on behalf of some of the prison inmates at Dodds.
At last count, 232 of the inmates tested positive for COVID-19 along with 63 members of staff.
Attorney At Law, Michael Lashley QC, tells StarCom Network News that he and associates of his law firm are considering seeking an urgent application to get bail for some of the inmates.
He says the lawyers are motivated by complaints from parents and others that they are getting too little information from the prison authorities about their loved ones in jail.
According to Mr. Lashley, they are particularly interested in those who have completed their sentences and those on remand.
