BARBADIANS REMINDED TO APPRECIATE THEIR ENSLAVED ANCESTORS

The National Independence Thanksgiving Service was held this morning at the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex.

In attendance were Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, Governor General Dame Sandra Mason and Chief Justice Patterson Cheltenham among other dignitaries.

Secretary of the Barbados Muslim Association,  Suleman Bulbulia, delivered the address in which he called on Barbadians to remember and appreciate the hardships endured by our ancestors who were brought here as slaves.
