A study shows that Barbadians are becoming increasingly worried about the rise in gun and drug related crimes.
These are the findings of a study conducted by Dr. Dwayne Devonish, Professor of Management and Organisational Behaviour in the Department of Management Studies at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.
He outlined the findings of the 2018 study during a webinar organised by Government’s Criminal Justice and Research and Planning Unit.
Dr. Devonish says the majority of people survey felt unemployment was a key factor in causing crime.
He says many businesses have been investing in increased security as a result.\
