Newly-elected member of Parliament for St. George North Toni Moore has taken her seat in parliament vowing to continue to be a champion for the cause of the workers of this country as well as being a voice for the people of the constituency that elected her.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley welcomed her new MP, the Barbados Workers Union General Secretary, stressing that she accepted that there will be times when Mrs .Moore’s commitment to the workers’ cause will take priority over all other considerations.
Opposition Leader Bishop Joseph Atherly welcomed the new MP to the chamber, congratulated her on her election and offered words of encouragement.
