NUPW probes reports of layoffs at Child Care Board

The National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) says it’s looking into reports of layoffs and terminations in the public sector.

This, just days after parliament passed a law that would make permanent government workers who have been in a post for three years or more.

Acting General Secretary, Delcia Burke tells Starcom Network News she has been told that some temporary employees have been sent home at the Child Care Board.
