The COVID-19 shutdown is not only hurting some businesses and the self-employed but government also reports its finances continue to be negatively impacted.
The matter highlighted by Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Wilfred Abrahams, as he thanked a number of companies who donated thousands of face masks and bottles of hand-sanitizers to various government departments including the Barbados Water Authority and the police.
He says government has a financial struggle on its hands and is grateful for the corporate support.
