With some businesses still expressing frustration with the customs department’s new Asycudo World online system, Comptroller of Customs, Wayne Holder is insisting that many of the problems and resulting cargo bond delays are the businesses own fault.

He says as far back as August 23rd, owners were asked to submit their warehouse stock levels to customs but to date some are yet to fully comply.

Mr. Holder says yesterday’s meeting with customs brokers and agents was very productive for both sides as they sought to work through the issues with Asycudo World.  He notes some businesses have done a better job than others in complying with the requirements of the system.
