Barbados has a won a bid to host a major UN conference in the face of still competition.
Barbados’ Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Kerry Symmonds, speaking in an interview with Starcom Network News disclosed that the board of Directors of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, UNCTAD, met in Geneva yesterday and awarded Barbados the hosting of UNCTAD 20/20 in October of next year.
However, the two nations have agreed to co-chair the conference.
