Barbados placed on an international human trafficking watch list | AG says no need to worry

Barbados has been placed on an international human trafficking watch list but Attorney General, Dale Marshall, says there’s no need for great concern over the development.

Speaking to Starcom Network News after addressing the opening ceremony of a Barbados Defence Force counter-terrorism training program, Mr. Marshall pointed out that local law enforcement has been taking action against prostitution rings.

He gave the assurance that Barbados will be addressing any issues of concern for international agencies in relation to human trafficking.

Mr. Marshall says they are also potential links between human trafficking and terrorism.
