Governor General, Dame Sandra Mason and The Chief Justice of Barbados Sir Patterson Cheltenham have gone into self quarantine.
The disclosure was made by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley during this evening’s COVID 19 Press conference.
She says as a result Government house has been temporarily vacated so as to allow for sanitization
Prime Minister Mottley says Sir Patterson did not require a COVID-19 test but went into isolation under advice from public health authorities.
She also spoke of the status at the Geriatric Hospital where testing was done among the staff.
Attorney General, Dale Marshall says Barbadians appear to be handling the national lockdown well with no reports from police of breaches of protocol.
He also told a COVID-19 media update that following requests and consultation with health officials, government has expanded the number of minimarts in the published pool.
However, the Attorney General issued a strong warning to owners.
