Cricketer in police custody

Captain of the Canadian cricket team, Barbadian Nicholas Rasheed Kirton is in Police Custody assisting with an investigation.

Starcom Network News understands that the 26 year-old Kirton was intercepted by the Barbados Police Service at the Grantley Adams International Airport when he arrived on an Air Canada flight, Sunday March 30.

Kirton last skippered Canada in an International Cricket Council (ICC) match against Namibia on March 15, which his side lost by 12 runs.
