Police remanded on sexual assault charge

A well-known lawman and former member of the Barbados Police Service Band, has been remanded to Dodds Prison on a sexual assault charge.

58 year-old Constable Edmund Barrow has been charged with having sex with a minor. Starcom Network News understands that Constable Barrow is being jointly charged with another individual, who is 17 years-old.

They both appeared this afternoon before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District “F” Court, but the matter has been referred to the District “B” jurisdiction.

They have been remanded until April 23, 2025.
