2 in custody/3 sought/shots fired in police operation

Two men are in custody while three others are being sought after police intercepted a vehicle at Lower Estate, St. Michael.

Starcom Network News understands that the operation was conducted by the Serious Crimes Unit of the Barbados Police Service and targeted a white taxi van in which five men were traveling.

Shots were fired, and both an unmarked police SUV and the taxi were damaged as officers intercepted the suspects’ vehicle.

Starcom Network News understands that three of the suspects escaped while the driver of the taxi and a passenger have been detained
