15-year-old remanded for murder

A second teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Kadeem Scantlebury at Black Rock, St. Michael, in February.

The 15-year-old, whose name has not been released since he is a minor, has been charged with murder, the use of a firearm and unlawfully and recklessly placing two females and two males in danger of death or serious bodily harm.

He is represented by attorney Ensley Granger and appeared in the District “A” Court before Magistrate Graveny Bannister where he was remanded until April 17th.

The minor joins 19-year-old Kyrese Samuel Denny, of Fairfield Cross Road, St. Michael, on the murder charge.
