Barbados’ Attorney General Dale Marshall says the construction of new dormitories at the Regional Police Training Centre is a major step toward improving police recruitment and regional security training.
The project, which is expected to be completed within 40 weeks at a cost of 10 million dollars, aims to modernize police training and strengthen law enforcement capabilities in Barbados and the wider Caribbean.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Marshall revealed that the project was fast-tracked after it was discovered that many female recruits were being turned away due to limited accommodation.
