CBC retrenching entire staff

The state-owned Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation is set to retrench their entire staff by March 31, 2025.

The CBC will be moving from analogue to digital and will be rehiring select staff as the process is expected to last between six to nine months.

After a lengthy meeting on Thursday with the Barbados Workers Union (BWU) and staff, General Secretary, Toni Moore says the Union has been anticipating this move and therefore has put full measures in place.

Mrs. Moore further stated it will be a difficult period for some staff but the BWU will be working steadfastly to minimize emotional damage.
