Two Christchurch men have been charged with the murder of O’Brien Dixon.
35-year-old Shamar Makhail Massiah Toby of Blackman Road, Maxwell and 33-year-old Antonio Desmond Lewis of Harmony Hall, St. Lawrence Christ Church, were both arrested and charged for the murder of Dixon as well as violent disorder on February 20th.
Dixon was shot dead during an altercation sometime around 9 am at Bamboo Road, St. Lawrence, Christ Church. Two other victims who were injured were transported to hospital, one with gunshot injuries and one with a severe chop wound to the head.
Toby received additional charges of possession of a firearm as well as endangering the lives of Maxine Leacock and Dwayne Lewis.
Both Toby and Antonio Lewis appeared before Magistrate Manila Renee at the District A Court today and were remanded at Dodds Prison until March 28th.
