Bad Vibes! Former Minister Opposes Kartel Show in Barbados

Former Minister of Sports, Youth and Culture Stephen Lashley opposes Jamaican artiste Vybz Kartel performing in Barbados unless he cleans up his lyrics.

Over a decade ago, Mr. Lashley was Minister of Culture when Kartel and his rival Movado were blocked from performing here due to what were deemed to be “vulgar and inappropriate lyrics.”

Now as Kartel is scheduled to perform here on April 26th, Mr. Lashley says unless the dancehall star has cleaned up his songs, he should not be allowed to perform.

Mr. Lashley also reckons that continuing vulgar lyrics in songs contributes to the moral decay in society.
