5M To Clean Up Gullies

Government will spend just over 5 million dollars over the next financial year on a major project to restore the country’s gullies as they continue to raise concerns over illegal dumping and its effects on climate change.

This was revealed by Minister of Environment, Adrian Forde who also indicated money would be allocated to deal with the issue of derelict vehicles blocking roadways and littering vacant lots in the country.

He was speaking during the “Gullies Our Life” Project’s launch at Green Hill, St. Michael.

He made another appeal for Barbadians to change their behavior patterns regarding bulk waste disposal.
