Security guards have been deployed at all schools as of this morning.

Chief Education Officer Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw says that following an audit and consultation with the unions 38 security officers have been assigned to schools.

Meanwhile, President of the Barbados Union of Teachers, Rudy Lovell, welcomes the increase in security.
