Two men are in police custody and a gun and a quantity of ammunition have been seized after police made quick progress into a string of armed robberies today.

Starcom Network News has learned that there were more than half a dozen such robberies, which are believed to have been perpetrated by the alleged assailants.

In one case, a man was robbed at gunpoint this morning at Holders Hill, St. James.

He was said to be the 7th person that reported to the police that they had been robbed this morning between Redman’s Village, St. Thomas and Holders Hill, St. James, by what appeared to be the same four armed young men.

Starcom Network News subsequently learned that two males are in police custody and that a firearm with a number of rounds has been recovered.
