Education Ministry promises report on school issues

The Ministry of Education promises a comprehensive report on a number of issues affecting schools across the country.

Chief Education Officer Dr. Ramona Archer Bradshaw was speaking this morning on the sidelines of a school exhibition for industrial, visual, and culinary arts at Pelican House.

She says the Ministry will deal with each case.

The Barbados Union of Teachers is satisfied with the work done to resolve the recent bed bug infestation and other issues at the Parkinson Memorial Secondary school.

The school reopens today after being closed from last Wednesday due the insect infestation and other matters.

President of the BUT, Rudy Lovell tells Starcom Network News that following a walk through inspection with Education Ministry and school officials they are confident the situation has been handled appropriately.
