Parkinson teachers sick-out over bed bugs

Parkinson Memorial Secondary School has been closed after many in the teaching staff staged a sickout today over several grievances including an alleged bed bug infestation.

General Secretary of the Barbados Union of Teachers Herbert Gittens tells Starcom Network News the union was made aware of the conditions at the school about a week ago.

He wants the matter dealt with urgently.
