A member of the school staff was slightly injured in the attempt to disarm the upset student.

The police were called in and concerned parents turned up at the school but the Ministry of Education said everything was under control and that classes were continuing.

The Ministry of Education also denies that there was any lockdown contrary to reports circulated on social media.
