The Education Ministry has declared schools ready for the full start of the new school year next Monday.
Minister of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, Kay McConney, announced at a news briefing today that most of the repairs and renovations undertaken during the long summer vacation have been completed with only some cleaning to be done.
Ms. McConney also disclosed that 15 Barbados Scholarships and twenty Exhibitions have been awarded and says more may be added after requested reviews.
She insists that Barbados’ CXC results this year show improvement overall.
It was also disclosed that the problem that caused some CXC papers out of Barbados to be ungraded has been identified and the issue has been resolved.
