The acting CEO of the Barbados Water Authority, Keith Roy-Halliday has quit.
In a memo to BWA staff today, Mr. Halliday, who has been the General Manager of the BWA for several years before being appointed to act as CEO announced that he had made what he called the difficult decision to resign from the Water Authority.
He says the decision was made after careful reflection as he wants to pursue a new opportunity that presented itself.
Mr. Halliday expressed his appreciation to staff for what he stated was their unwavering dedication, relentless effort and support throughout his time at the authority.
He added that he feels honored that they have been able to achieve what he believes to be notable and distinct progress in the past eight years.
Mr. Halliday states that the authority is now on the cusp of a welcomed transformation phase and that in coming months he will work with all teams, management, union and the board of directors to facilitate a seamless transition towards supporting appointment of a new CEO.
