Some of the private security officers at a section of the Grantley Adams International Airport reportedly staged a brief work stoppage this afternoon, but management at the airport say there was no disruption of the operations.
Starcom Network News understands that the security officers at a departure gate have been complaining about the heat due to issues with the air-conditioning in the area.
Sources told Starcom Network News the officers stopped work today for a very short period of time.
The security officers are employed by the private security company, G4S.
In a statement posted on the Grantley Adams International Airport’s social media page, airport management say that while they are aware of reports circulating that there was a disruption at GAIA, all airport operations are continuing without delay and that access to scheduled flights has proceeded as planned.
