Shooting shock at Belleplaine

Residents of Belleplaine, St. Andrew have been left shaken by last night’s fatal shooting there, Barbados’ 17^th homicide for the year so far and the 5^th shooting death in the last two weeks.

The body of 20 year old Seth Batson of Layne’s Road, Brittons Hill, was discovered at the Belleplaine playing field just before midnight with gunshot injuries to the upper body.

When Starcom Network News visited the area today a resident spoke of hearing gunshots last night.

They requested that we disguise their voice to protect their identity given the nature of the matter.

Another resident termed the development shocking and said such events are unusual for the area.
