Fire has destroyed a home at Long, Bay St. Philip.
A resident of the area tells Starcom Network News several people lived in the home including an elderly man in a wheelchair who was rescued from the building before it was consumed by flames late this afternoon.
The Fire Service responded with two tenders and ten officers.
