Staff at the Sunshine Early Intervention Centre at Roebuck Street, St. Michael walked off the job today over security concerns after a series of break-ins and vandalism at the property.
The Barbados Workers Union, the school’s principal, the vice principal, the staff and the school’s lawyer, met to discuss a way forward after the most recent break-in where a weapon was found on the premises of the special needs school.

A trustee of the School Terrence Howell says a weapon was found on the school compound and they are considering additional security measures following the recent incident.
