B’dos hosts Exercise Tradewinds

Over one thousand safety and security personnel are in Barbados for Exercise Tradewinds 2024, ahead of the T20 Cricket World Cup.

Barbados Defence Force Commander, Mark Peterson, says the training will be focused on countering the possible threats to the hosting of large-scale sporting events.

He was speaking during a press briefing this morning at the Barbados Defence Force headquarters at St. Ann’s Fort, the Garrison, St. Michael.

He stated that the exercise will prepare the participants for various threats.
