Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley wants Caricom states to make significant investments in the game of cricket and has outlined her vision for development of the sport.
She was addressing Caricom leaders and senior officials of Cricket West Indies at the CARICOM Regional Cricket Conference in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago this morning.
Miss Mottley suggested there could be mixed gender cricket games and also called for investments in cricket infrastructure and training technology.
She also called for a regional soccer team.
