Sources tell Starcom Network News that the individual who is a suspect in one of the recent armed robberies fired at police after he was spotted
The officers returned fire, wounding the suspect. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
The injured suspect was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The wounded individual was described by people in the area as “a rastaman”.
