Four In Custody for Armed Robbery at St. George Supermarket

Four men are in custody and the police have recovered a firearm and a quantity of money after an armed robbery at a St. George supermarket yesterday.

Starcom Network News has been able to confirm that the police have made quick progress in detaining the suspects allegedly involved in the burglary at Fair Deals supermarket at Ellerton, St. George.

Security camera footage of the incident that has been circulating on social media shows a white car driving onto the compound.

Two men exited the vehicle from the front passenger and back seats.

The armed men were wearing overalls with hoodies – one man dressed in black and the other white.

They then entered the business brandishing at least one firearm and held the staff at gunpoint while they stuffed cash into a bag before fleeing in the waiting getaway car.

Juanita Hewitt the owner of the business tells Starcom Network News that the experience was very traumatic for customers and staff.


As stated earlier Starcom Network News has confirmed that four suspects are in custody.

Ms. Hewitt is upset over the incident.
