There is a scarcity of fresh fish in Barbados.
This is according to Public Relations Officer of the Bridgetown Fisheries Association, Delbert Forde.
Mr. Forde tells Starcom Network News that fisher folk are capturing a significantly lower number of certain kinds of fish.
This has also caused increase in prices.
He explains that some vendors are now being forced to purchase and sell imported fish. He says this poses a challenge as some customers prefer the fresh product.
