Workers in the hotel sector are to get a ten percent pay hike over three years.
This has been disclosed by Chairman of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association Renee Coppin who says this follows months of discussion between the association and trade unions over a number of matters affecting workers in the sector.
She made the announcement at the BHTA’s General Meeting at the Radisson Resort this morning. She explained that it’s a cumulative increase that also covers periods dating back to 2021.
The BHTA Chair also disclosed that tourist arrivals for January and February were the highest in several years.
