Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley’s budget proposals are being welcomed by this country’s business sector.
President of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry, James Clarke believes the initiatives outlined in the budget, such as the creation of the new state agency, Business Barbados, will improve the ease of doing business.
He’s also in favour of efforts to lower shipping costs as he expects this could help reduce the cost of living.
His comments came this morning during a post-budget forum hosted by the Chamber and Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
