Barbadians are being urged to not be carried away by social media misinformation which discourages people from taking vaccines, especially those provided for children.

President of the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners Dr. Lynda Williams made the appeal in the wake of recent concerns raised by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kenneth George who said that this country may be at risk of a measles outbreak as the rate of immunization fell after the COVID 19 pandemic.

Speaking on the sidelines of the launch of the Front of Package Warning Label campaign at Golden Square this morning. Dr. Williams said she is saddened by the position some parents are taking.
