Highway 7 Road Repairs Start Monday

Work to upgrade the road surface of Highway 7 begins on Monday.

The Ministry of Transport and Works says the work comprises milling, which is the removal of existing asphalt, and paving.

This will be done in sections starting with Phase One from Skeetes Road to the vicinity of Rockley Terrace.

Work is expected to last for approximately one week.

The Ministry’s contractor will work between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and during this time, vehicle access will be restricted to public transportation, as well as local and emergency vehicles.

Motorists are advised to divert at either Rendezvous Hill or Dayrells Road.

Since the work is being done during the evenings all of Highway 7 will be open during the day.
