The body of a man was discovered floating in the Careenage in Bridgetown this morning while Officers of the Barbados Defence Force were conducting Remembrance Day rehearsals.
The police say that at about 6:30 a.m. the operations control centre received a call about the body floating in the Careenage and it was later retrieved from the water in the area of the old Waterfront Café.
The man has been identified as 66-year-old Ronald Brathwaite of Nelson Street, the City.
A Medical Doctor pronounced death at the scene and the body was identified by a family member.
