NPC Pressure Tests Deem Fairchild Street Safe

The Barbados Fire Service says the manhole fire in the city has been extinguished and testing at the site has deemed the area safe.

Investigations into a suspected gas leak were carried out yesterday in Fairchild Street after a vehicle was set ablaze by a fire coming from a manhole.

Divisional Officer at the Barbados Fire Service, Marlon Small provides an update.

He says a final determination on the cause of the flame is pending.
