Salaries for police officers in Barbados are likely to be increased under a regrading exercise currently underway and the service has also been promised that concerns about their facilities are being addressed.
Attorney General Dale Marshall was speaking to Starcom Network News after the head of the Police Association listed a number of concerns in an interview with the Nation Newspaper.
A major issue raised was that of pay but the Attorney General gives the assurance that is being dealt with under the public sector regrading.
Mr. Marshall says he shares the concerns over the matter of facilities for the Criminal Investigations Department and disclosed that the C.I.D. is being moved to a new location.
The police service headquarters is also being relocated.
