Growth in Credit Union Union Movement

Credit unions are reporting a significant growth in membership and also an increase in financial assets for this year.

This has been disclosed by President of the Barbados Co-operative and Credit Union League Limited, Kemar Cumberbatch, addressing the League’s Annual General Meeting.

Mr. Cumberbatch notes that the membership is growing but he expects to see some of the smaller credit unions merging.

He reports growth of over three percent in assets.
