Guyana is battling a severe drought.

The country’s Agriculture Minister, Zulfikar Mustapha, has urged the nation to practice water conservation as the prolonged dry season currently being experienced is projected to continue until the end of November.

But he gave the assurance that Guyana has adequate water supplies to meet essential needs.
