The Government today issued a statement defending its economic record noting that Barbados is projected for economic growth through at least the next five years.
Minister in the Ministry of Finance Ryan, points out that the International Monetary Fund recently announced that Barbados is likely to experience continued economic growth for years to come, including growth for this year estimated at 4.5 percent.
He declares that the economy is growing coming out of COVID-19 and adds that while the rate of growth may not continue at this pace, the government is heartened to see that economic growth is projected for the foreseeable future
