Two men have been shot, one fatally, at Lower Carlton, St. James in the early hours of this morning.
The police say the shooting occurred about 1:20 a.m. at Thunder Bay.
A statement from the service says officers responded to a report coming into their Operations Control Room of gun shots being fired at a location where a promotional fete was being held.
When the officers arrived at the scene they were told that two men had been injured and had left the scene.
Further investigations revealed that one of the victims had been transported in a private motor car to a private medical clinic where he subsequently passed away.
The deceased is 27 year old Darrien Robinson of 1st Avenue, Lower Carlton, St. James.
Another man, 20 year old Roshay Cadogan of Waterford, St. Michael, was shot in his upper left arm and was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private motorcar.
