The Ministry of Education has been seeking to clarify the timeline for implementing announced reforms.
Officials yesterday stated 2025 as the target date to implement the changes but Chief Education Officer, Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw has told the audience of VOB’s Down to Brasstacks program that the deadline is not firmly set but is just a proposal at this stage pending further consultations.
Dr. Archer-Bradshaw offered the clarification after moderator Dr. Kristina Hinds, questioned whether the timeline was realistic.

As government lays out its plans for extensive education reform, the Democratic Labour Party denies it has been part of the consultations although admitting it met with the ministry.
DLP spokesperson, Felicia Dujon, has issued a statement seeking to clarify her party’s positions a day after Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, who chairs the education reform committee, joined education officials in laying out the reform plan.

But the Democratic Labour Party, through its third vice-president, Ms. Dujon, insists they had no say on the reforms despite meeting with the education ministry.
