Hotel Workers Not Treated Fairly Says BWU

The Barbados Workers Union believes that workers in the tourism industry are being treated unfairly.

General Secretary of the BWU, Toni Moore says that this is despite efforts to improve working conditions in the sector.

The issue was raised in a media briefing during a tour by a BWU team of tourist areas along the west and south coasts as part of the union’s Founder’s Day celebrations.

The BWU General Secretary accuses some members of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association of opting out of agreements made with the union.
