All schools close at 1 30 pm today due to the island-wide power outage.
Barbados Light and Power Company said in a statement:
“We are aware of a power outage affecting our customers across the island. Our teams are investigating and we will be working to restore electricity safely and in the shortest time possible.”
With this, our phone system is offline but our social media channels are active. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the outage at this time.
