The Queen Elizabeth Hospital has issued an advisory urging the public not to come to the Accident and Emergency Department unless their case is life-threatening.
The QEH’s communications specialist Shane Sealy says there has been a significant increase in patient flow into the department in the past two weeks and especially over the last two days.
This has resulted in increased wait times in the A and E.
Mr. Sealy says life-threatening conditions are the high priority.
